A Baby’s Death

Caris E Ayala is wanted for the murder of a five months old boy. He was from Sandy Springs, Georgia. She committed this crime on October 2, 2012. Ayala was babysitting for the boy in her apartment. She called authorities and stated that the boy was unresponsive. He was transported to Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. There it was determined that he had suffered a severe head/brain injury. Then he was placed on life support. After the baby was later removed from life support on October 26, 2012,he died.

Police interviewed Ayala at the time of the baby’s death. She was scheduled for further interviews on October 9, 2012. She never showed up at that appointment. Authorities charged her with cruelty to children. Then a Fulton County warrant was issued for her arrest. She was charged with unlawful fight to avoid prosecution. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Ayala in the United States District Court. The warrant was also issued by the Northern District of Georgia and Atlanta on October 24, 2012. After the boy’s death, a felony murder warrant was issued for Ayala.
