Circumstances

Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam was last seen in Fort Worth, Texas. This incident occurred on January 16, 2006. She has never been heard from again. The last person known to have seen her was Christopher Revill, her boyfriend and the father of her three-month-old son.

A photo of Revill is posted with this case summary (poster pictured below). After her disappearance, he dropped off their child with one of Islam’s relatives. He claimed the last time he saw Islam, they had an argument. He claimed that Islam then got into the car with someone he didn’t know and left.

In October 2016, Revill was arrested and charged with kidnapping Typhenie Kae Johnson,, who was last seen in his company in Euless, Texas on October 10, 2016. She was his ex-girlfriend and they were last seen arguing with each other. Revill’s explanation for her disappearance was the same for Islam’s: She got into a vehicle with someone he didn’t know and rode away.

Revill was indicted for aggravated kidnapping with intent to terrorize. The charge was later upgraded to kidnapping with intent to kill. Revill is awaiting trial, and Johnson’s disappearance remains open. According to some press releases, Islam was not reported as missing until this time.

Islam’s family stated Revill was abusive towards her. And they believe he was involved in her disappearance. However, police haven’t identified him as a suspect. They have said there’s no hard evidence to link him to her case. Her disappearance remains unsolved.

Appeal

Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam has been missing for almost 13 years. However, no awareness apparently was brought to Islam’s case until her former boyfriend caused another former girlfriend to disappear. This is tragic and proves that missing searches are unequal. And how could Revill conceal and maybe destroy the evidence in Islam’s case? He had apparently told authorities that she had left of her own accord and was not really missing. The system has failed Taalibah Fatin Bint Islam. It shouldn’t have taken another case to open her case.
