Opinion

Among young people, missing persons searches are grossly unequal. The search for Roxanne Marie Sims seems to have never happened. They can’t even get the year this teen went missing straight? Wow! Something is drastically wrong. In “few details are available” cases like Roxanne’s, I find it quite difficult to withhold my opinion. And yes, I wonder about the investigators on her case. Was Roxanne dismissed as a runaway and assumed to be in no danger? She is not called called endangered after 41 years of being missing? This is depressing.

Surely someone (s) somewhere is missing Roxanne Marie Sims! Someone (s) has information concerning this case! Do you have any information concerning the whereabouts of Roxanne Marie Sims? Do you have any information concerning the person (s) responsible for her disappearance? If you have any information, please contact the Portland Police Bureau at: (503) 823-0446. • Hello, Sargent Gary Katherine:

I apologize for my wording of some things in my post. I have done multiple searches for Roxanne Sins’ information, on both the Internet and social media. And I started a thread on Websleuths for her. I never intended to increase anyone’s pain. Please do not be angry with me. Prayers for Roxanne to be found! And I put forth the facts as I found them.

  3. Roxanne is my cousin. I miss her very much, her whole family misses her very much. The agony you just put her sisters and family through by making comments that know one seemed to care is so heartbreaking. You have no idea what this family has gone through, past and present.
Her family HAS searched for her. After 40+ years don’t think for one moment that there isn’t a day she isn’t thought of!
