And the cousin has left a comment on the Facebook page of the investigative agency handling his cousin’s case. See the italicized comment below.

Matthew is a great kid not perfect but honest, loyal, kind, loving, respectful, hard working, college educated with his own apartment/car. Who loves his family/friends and enjoys living life. We the family appreciates all the prayers and kind words even the not so kind words, as they keep us grounded in faith and we refuse to be shook/shaken.It also reminds us of just how cruel this world really is but that’s okay too because we understand just how busy the devil can be in our darkest hour. You see this is a young man who would go above and beyond to help/uplift the next person, never allowing another persons negativity to combat his positive nature. Matthew smiled in the face of adversity and we will stand as a family in the face of uncertainty. Again the family thanks you and we ask that you all continue to be in prayer for Mats safe returnπŸ’žπŸ’–πŸ’ž #MatthweIsLovedByMany
