Investigation

Police searched the fields and woods around the Bagenstose home. But they found nothing. Relatives, neighbors and friends, including a boarder who was staying at the home at that time, were interviewed. However, nothing substantial was learned. A roadblock was set up to see if anyone had seen Mary Ann Bagenstose walking along the road that day. The garage floor at the home was dug up. But nothing was found. Mary Ann’s husband said that he’d thrown away the note he said his wife left. It was never recovered. It would be totally out of character for Mary Ann Bagenstose to voluntarily leave her son behind. Nor would she leave without contacting her mother, whom she used to speak to every day. Foul play is strongly suspected.

Appeal

Mary Ann Baggenstose has been missing for almost 34 years. She has spent more years as a missing person than as one seen alive. It seems like police did all they could in their ground searches. The note she had left behind had been destroyed. Her husband says that he had destroyed this note. Did the content of this note contain critical evidence that could have solved Bagenstose’s disappearance? It seems quite suspicious. It is perplexing that police have not named one suspect during this time. They have not even names a person of interest. The one person who may have critical information about Bagenstose’s whereabouts, is not talking. What will get him talking?
