After Heather’s disappearance, a cope pulled over an man in a routine traffic stop. This occurred in Henderson County, Kentucky. The man’s name is Marvin Ray “Marty” Dill. Dill matched the description of Teague’s kidnapper.
He was driving a red and white Bronco, which was identical to a vehicle the witness reported was parked next to Teague’s car on Newburgh Beach. A Suspect?

In August 1995, investigators received several tips connecting Dill to Heather’s disappearance. They stopped by his home to question him. Reportedly, Dill told his wife to leave their residence after becoming alerted to law
enforcement’s presence. Dill then committed suicide by shooting himself before officers could enter his home. Prosecutors put together available evidence against Dill following his death. They put this evidence before a grand jury. Dill’s wife was called as a witness. But she invoked her Fifth Amendment rights and refused to answer any questions about Teague’s abduction.

Another Suspect?

Christopher J Below is another possible suspect in Heather’s disappearance. He is also a native of Henderson, Kentucky. Below was convicted of 1991 murder of Kathern Fetzer and is serving a prison sentence of 11 to 18 years for the crime. Her body has never been found. But Below confessed to shooting her and pleaded guilty to attempted voluntary manslaughter. He is also considered a possible suspect in the disappearances of Mary Kushto, Shaylene Farrell, and Kristina Porco.

Theories

Investigators believe Below may have attacked other women who physically resembled Fetzer. Both Teague and Fetzer had long dark hair and were about an even 5’0″ tall and 100 pounds. Below was known to be in the general area when Teague was abducted. But shortly after Heather disappeared and on the day Dill killed himself, Below left Kentucky. Below, Dill, and Teague share some acquaintances The witness to Teague’s abduction consistently identified Dill and not Below as the Kidnapper. But authorities believe they have circumstantial evidence to tie Below to the crime. They believe he and Dill may have done it together. Maybe one grabbed Heather while the other one drove the getaway car.

Botched Police Work?

Below has not been charged in connection with Heather’s case. This is due to a lack of conclusive evidence linking him to the crime. In February 2013, Teague’s mother filed a lawsuit against local, state, and federal authorities. She alleged malfeasance and a cover-up in her daughter’s disappearance. The mother claims that law enforcement focused on the wrong suspect in Teague’s abduction and failed to follow up on leads. This would have taken their investigation elsewhere. The litigation is reportedly pending.

Heather’s 20th annual missing date is on August 26, 2017. Her mom posted on August 19, 2017.

Heather has been missing for 20 years. She’s a crime victim. Her family has had to go for twenty long years without answers. They have had to suffer 20 years of not knowing if Heather is safe or alive. It doesn’t seem that there have been arrests or suspects in her case. All because of “insufficient evidence.” Possible suspects do not equal actual, named suspects who are facing charges. Someone (s) has information that can bring Heather home to her family!
