Bizarre Happenings

Heather’s parents reported Heather missing in 2009. This was four years after Heather was last seen. The police went to Shari’s apartment in March 2010. And Shari, Heather’s sister, wouldn’t open the door for them. She answered questions through the window. And she said Heather was fine. However, she refused to let anyone see Heather or come inside the home. Shari’s neighbors reported that they never saw Heather. Within a month, Shari had moved and police lost track of her. Her landlord had evicted her because she owed thirteen to fourteen thousand dollars in back rent. Authorities subsequently learned that Shari moved to Norway on a student visa. She had moved in approximately 2016.

The local media in Berkeley reached out to Shari, Heather’s sister, by email and phone. But they never heard back. And attempts to locate Heather have remained unsuccessful. The police are uncertain what happened to Heather. And they don’t necessarily believe she’s deceased or in danger. However, they need to be able to see her and confirm her well-being to close her missing persons case. Police believe it’s possible her sister placed her in a care home. Or Heather may be with another caregiver in the San Francisco Bay area. Her case remains unsolved.

Appeal

Heather Bloom has been missing over 13 years. It is perplexing that Heather’s sister (or anyone else) can place her in a home and under the radar. In that case, wouldn’t Heather’s sister have notified police to confirm Heather’s safety? Her reported behavior around Heather’s disappearance seems suspicious. And if Heather was placed in a home, how can she just go off the grid? How can authorities or her family lose track of her in that situation? It is hard to accept that someone vulnerable like Heather can encounter foul play. But, sadly, it is possible. It does not seem investigators have even considered that. Anyone who is missing should, in my humble opinion, should be considered endangered until proved otherwise. And I found few Internet and even fewer Facebook results about Heather Bloom. These questions need to be answered! Where is Heather Bloom.
