Her year of birth is 1914. At the time of her disappearance, Flora was 41 to 42 years old. Her current age is 103 years old. Flora Rebecca Ligon is an African-American female. Her hair is brown and her eyes are brown. She is described as 5’6″ to 5’7″ tall and 130 pounds. Ligon has a history of alcohol abuse. When she was last seen, Flora was wearing a blue jacket, a white shirt and gray pants. Ligon may use the last names Green, Greene and/or White. Her nickname is Dan.

Flora Rebecca Ligon was last seen in Washington D.C. She was last seen sometime during the spring or fall of 1956. On the day of her disappearance, her eight-year-old daughter saw Ligon take some money. It was money she had hidden under the linoleum. Ligon told her child she was going to the store. However, Ligon has never returned. She has never been heard from again. It is believed that Ligon may have traveled to Trenton, New Jersey. Or she may have traveled to the South Carolina cities of Greenville or Clemson. And this could be after her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved. Information is very limited in her case.

It is unclear what police have done to investigate her disappearance over the years. It may be helpful if some cold case advocate would adopt her case. There is no statutes of limitations on murder. But it is unclear if police suspect foul play in Flora’s case.
